Register for GEMS 2020!

COVID-19 has slowed us down a bit at GEMS, but we’d love for you to be part of this awesome girls’ club! Our club is not meeting in person yet this fall, but we have an awesome monthly GEMS package for you that includes a GEMS magazine, craft, and other cool GEMS stuff. If you are in grades 2-6 you qualify! Our theme this year is FRIENDED (John 15:15) and we will be exploring what that means in different ways.  When we are at GEMS we are making new friends, crafting, earning badges, singing, sharing, playing games, learning from the Bible, and growing together (with a few extra fun events thrown in). We meet on alternating Wednesdays from October to April. GEMS Girls’ Club is an international ministry that seeks…

Sunday School 2020

Sunday School 2020 Greetings Congregation, As September has arrived, so too begins fall programming. Members of our church have been working diligently to unravel the ways in which our various ministries can or cannot function. From Men of Breakfast to Sunday School and all in between, I am grateful to be surrounded by leaders who are thoughtful and caring. Participants have heard from various ministry leaders already, and I hope to outline below the changes that are coming to our Sunday Morning gathering time and how that will look going forward. Council has agreed to a plan with a goal to make sure there is something for everyone on Sunday Morning. From children to seniors, whether gathering in person or online. We will continue to gather as a church to…

Pentecost Colouring Sheets

DOWNLOAD COLOURING SHEETS During the week, read the story of Pentecost in Acts 2:1-12. Follow that up by doing one (or all three!) of the coloring sheets on pages 4, 6 or 7 of this document. As you color, children and families may find these questions and thoughts valuable to consider: How do you know when the wind is blowing? What happens to things when the wind blows? Think of stories you’ve heard and your own experiences of the wind. What are some of the great or powerful things wind can do? Our story tells us that the Holy Spirit came to the disciples like a huge wind, blowing through the room. When the wind blows, it changes things. I wonder how the disciples were changed on the day of…

Hebrews Reading for April 26 Service

Good Day Congregation, As mentioned on Sunday, we're headed into the book of Hebrews. I would love for you to be reading through this entire book with me - it's not terribly long, and will be easily broken up into a few chapters per week. That being said, I've prepared two reading schedules: The first is more basic, and gets you through the book as we preach through it. The second is much more in depth and encourages re-reading the book several times throughout the month in order to commit parts of it to memory, and practice something called Lectio Divina, which is a method of reading and rereading scripture prayerfully. Either way, I would encourage you to read the entire book in one shot during this series. On your own, it shouldn't…
