Pastor Don Draayer
A journey from the Dallas, Texas, area led us to Winnipeg: a lot of miles (kilometers), different weather (especially in winter), and a different country. While the differences are significant, the church is Jesus’ community of believers wherever the people of God are busy doing the work of their Lord.
My wife, Joanne and I have lived and served in several different communities. From Newton, Iowa, to Bellflower, California, back to Iowa, this time to Sioux Center and 15 years as Campus Pastor at Dordt College (also softball coach during that time) to Dallas, Texas, and now Winnipeg. Joanne, in addition to being a faithful wife, has been a loving mother, a music educator, church musician and a realtor. Our five children and their spouses live in a variety of communities: two are in the Dallas area; one in Peoria, Illinois; another in Portland, Oregon; and one also here in Winnipeg. In addition, God has blessed us with fourteen grandchildren.
As lead pastor at Covenant, I welcome you to become a part of God’s work at Covenant. I invite you to come to know the Saviour, Jesus Christ, serve him with fellow believers in every area of life, and grow in your relationship with the creator of this world. We are here to share Christ until everyone fully reflects Him. email@example.com
